Some of you may have already seen our post on the reference materials for the clinical informatics board exam, which outlines all the books mentioned in the “core content” for the CI subspecialty and their respective links. So if you’ve already seen this post, you’re probably wondering why we would include yet another reading list for you.
Well, to put it as nicely as possible…many of those resources listed in the core content are old, boring, irrelevant, and difficult to read.
Since we’re not too keen on complaining yet failing to offer a better alternative, we’ve come up our version of recommended reading. We think this list is way more relevant, can be applied in your current or future positions, and will help you understand how IT and clinical informatics will change the way we think of healthcare in the coming future.
Let us know what you think should be added, removed, and what you think of some of these choices.
